Last week I went for dinner at Lambrusqueria, an Italian restaurant which has two locations in Valencia. We decided to order from the main menu, but they also have a set menu where you share some starters, pastas and desserts.

As a starter we shared the burrata, this amazing Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream. The burrata at this particular restaurant is incredible as the inside is still a little soft (like it should!). I don't think I have eaten a better burrata anywhere else. It was served with some garlic bread, tomato slices and pesto. Yum!

For the main I decided to go for the Tagliatelle Norcina which is a pasta with a cream sauce of mushrooms, Italian pork sausage and black truffle. The combination of these flavours is just amazing, but it is a little heavy on truffle. For me this was not a problem, but if you are not a big fan of the taste of truffle you should go for a different kind of pasta at this restaurant. The truffle pasta is one of their more 'unusual' ones as most of the pasta dishes on their menu are the Italian classics like aglio e olio, bolognese and arrabiata. Over a month ago I ordered the aglio e olio at this restaurant, which I also really liked.

We were so full after our pastas that we had to wait a little while before ordering dessert. We decided to share the brownie which was served with some hot chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. It wasn't anything special and the brownie was a little on the dry side, but I enjoyed it nevertheless.

Lambrusqueria is one of the cheaper Italian choices in Valencia, but you still get a pretty good quality of food. It probably won't take long before I will post reviews of other Italian restaurants in Valencia. Ciao!
